Students Step Out for Annual Sponsored Walk

On Monday 20th July, students from The Ashcombe School took part in our annual Sponsored Walk, enjoying a day in the beautiful Surrey Hills while raising money for a project that will benefit the whole school community.

This year’s fundraising effort is focused on the installation of new shade sails outside the Ranmore building. The proposed canopies will create a more comfortable outdoor space for students by providing much needed protection from the sun during warmer weather. The project also supports the school’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and climate resilience.

The Sponsored Walk was a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves, spend time outdoors and work together in support of a shared goal. It was particularly pleasing to see so many students taking part and embracing the occasion with enthusiasm and determination.

The shade sails will provide a long-term benefit for current and future students, helping to create a more welcoming and usable outdoor environment for learning, socialising and relaxation.

A huge thank you goes to all the students, staff, families and supporters who have already contributed to the campaign. Every donation will help bring this exciting project closer to reality and make a lasting difference to our school community.
