Clubs, activities and trips

Clubs, activites and trips

There is plenty to do in the Sixth Form. The 6th Form support the wider school community by volunteering. We strongly believe that everybody should take part in at least one additional activity.

Sports Clubs

We have the following teams who play competitive fixtures.

Volunteering – Miss Parish

Kennedy certainly had the right idea when he famously said "ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." This famous quote from his inauguration speech has inspired 6th Form Volunteering. The 6th Form lead the way in volunteering at school and abroad in locations such as Romania.

Miss ParishWe would like all 6th Form students to volunteer during their time with us. It can be good fun and very rewarding

Miss Parish heads up the volunteering programme so do contact her with any questions.

Thank you in advance for playing your part in supporting the wider school.

Community Sports Leaders Qualification

LEAD Technologies

The Community Sports Leaders Award (CSLA) is offered as an enrichment course to be studied in addition to your full-time programme. It is a nationally recognised qualification awarded through the Sports Leaders UK. It provides an introduction for those people wishing to lead groups in sporting and recreational activities and gives those over 16 years of age, regardless of ability, the opportunity to train and provide voluntary assistance alongside qualified coaches or teachers.

Studying for the CSLA involves attending a two-term programme of 1 hour per week. All units must be completed and a voluntary community placement of at least 10 hours also fulfilled.
