Standards and Expectations

Parents are asked to ensure the standards set out in our uniform list are met.

We expect and encourage every pupil to look smart at all times, including when travelling to and from school.

All pupils in Years 7 - 11 will be expected to wear the correct school uniform. We are very appreciative of those families who fully support and uphold our current uniform standards. It is our intention to ensure that all pupils at all times fully meet the expectations outlined here. Whilst we wish to avoid conflict we will be firm and will take action to ensure standards are met. Parents will be contacted if their child arrives at school incorrectly dressed. A note should be provided if there is a difficulty with an item of uniform.

School uniform sales are organised by the PTA

The PTA welcome online orders but parents may use a paper order form available from pupil services and pay by cheque (made payable to 'Ashcombe PTA Uniform' or with the correct cash.
Uniform orders placed by the weekend will normally be available for collection from the following Wednesday in the Bradley Office. Orders placed during the school holidays will be processed once school reopens.

The PTA Uniform shop is situated in the Supported Learning Centre, the green portacabin next to the Ranmore car park. Monthly uniform sales are held there during term time. Please see the School Calendar for dates and times. Samples will be available for parents to view and pupils to try on so that they can order the correct size. This is particularly important for skirts which should be worn ON the knee. Second hand uniform will also be available to purchase and we welcome donations of good quality Ashcombe branded uniform.

New Intake

All pupils new to the School should come to one of the Uniform Sales so that they can try on the samples and buy the correct size. The School will usually liaise with the Uniform Team for pupils joining during the school year to ensure they have an opportunity to look at and try on the samples. For Year 7 pupils we hold an annual new intake sale in the School’s main Ranmore Hall during July. We encourage all new starters to attend and further details can be found in the New Intake Pack and at the New Intake Evening.

Returns

Please note exchanges may only be accepted within 3 months of purchase with the receipt, original labels and packaging. Please avoid refunds if possible as they incur extra transaction charges for the PTA. Thank you for your cooperation. .
